My name is __________ and I am a _______ at Animo Venice. My art piece is called ___________It is a one-point perspective drawing using the X axis. In the background, there is a window which leads to a road outside disappearing into the vanishing point. There are also many objects in the room, which all point towards the vanishing point making it a one point perspective. My art work was made using a point-of-view X axis, a ruler and a graphite pencil in the style of Diego Velázquez.
The emphasis of this drawing would be the window at the end of the room because they’re the most detailed and in the center of the back wall. There is a lot of space and patterns of lines throughout the drawing and even some shading in the plant at the corner of the room. This drawing represents a kitchen that many people would normally use in their everyday lives when cooking. It has a table, a sink, a stove and windows which are the basic furniture inside a kitchen. I think that this is a success because I feel that it can capture the eye of many people because of the detail there is. Also because of the patterns of lines that both stand out and blend in at the same time.

This one is 25/25 for a 9th Grader

My name is ____________________. I am a _______ grader at Animo Venice. I have two brothers and a sister that do not attend Animo Venice.  The objective of this artwork was to create a surrealist design with well used value. My art piece is called, ‘Destroyer of The World.’ My top right hand is the emphasis of the art piece. The drawing is considered surrealist because the hand is floating in our solar system and taking the role of the sun, to give light. My art work was a success because value was well used in many different ways to express the drawing. One thing that I would of have change is to add more details to the other hands.
Throughout the unit, I learned many new words such as juxtaposition and much more. I learned the rule of thirds. It is a great way to express the emphasis in an easy and simple form.  The art work balanced out because I used three hands. The contrast was used well because the solar system is realistic and the hands are not.
The movie ‘2012’ inspired me to draw this artwork. I watched the movie over the weekend but I do not believe it will happen. I made the theory of 2012 in a cartoonish way. The top left hand is about to flick earth out of our solar system. The bottom right hand is taking a role of a hose and fumigated the sun.

This one is a SOLID 25/25  for 11th or 12the grader.

My name is ___________ and I am currently a ________ attending Animo Venice charter high school. The greatest truth I can express and reveal is that I am not the artist in the family. Although the characteristic of skilful drawing was given to my brother, it still does not prevent me from trying. The characteristic of perseverance was given to me. I am the one who is known to not give up and always challenge myself. That is why when the idea of a surrealist image came to mind, I set out to successfully express it in my sketchbook. I began by drawing the skeletal hand over and over again until I got it right. After that, everything came easily to me. My main goal for my artwork was to have the hand be the emphasis. For my work, I used shape to form emphasis on the hand. I also used grey-scale value in order to create a contrast within my work. What I set out to portray in my drawing was a skeletal hand, a dementor, and a cloudy covered moon. The interpretation of my artwork was that I was aiming to send the dramatized outcome of malfunctioning love. Within the process of love, one can come to true love, or have the faith of the kiss of death based on their lives. In my work, my main emphasis is slowly loosing its form and loosing its ability to continue to live since it’s following the direction of what is not true love. For many to have the story or reason behind a drawing thrown at them, is what they prefer. However for my drawing although it may bring a slight thought of confusion to mind, one must go deeper in order to grasp the full understanding. That is why one must carefully analyze my artwork “kiss of death”.
